Enigmatic heirloom variety from an exchange with an Italian collector.
Large orange-red fruit, from 300 to 500 grams, some may exceed the kilo in good growing conditions. Flattened and strongly ribbed or pleated on the upper 2/3 of the fruit, misshapen fruits when it is big caliber. It has similarities with "Riccio di Parma" but less wrinkled.
Meaty and dense flesh, often small hollow seedboxes containing few seeds and gel.
Old heirloom tomato flavor, versatile use, can be used both in salads or coulis / sauces.
Vigorous plant with average height, potato foliage, indeterminate growth.
Average production but big fruits.
