Capsicum annuum

Beautiful ornamental pepper with conical upright fruits of about 2 to 3 cm. Ripen from purple through orange into glowing red (from where the name, Ember).

While most ornamental pepper varieties are selected only for beauty, Explosive Ember also takes the taste into account.
The taste is slightly sweeter with a cayenne level in terms of heat. 30 000 - 50 000 SHU.

Compact plants from 30 cm high with dark leaves. Can be grown perfectly in pots or as an ornamental border.

The very high numbers of peppers per plant are easy to dry and grind into powder.
