Rare variety, old Ukrainian cultivar developed by Theodosius Makarovich Tarasenko.
Bright red round fruit, 60 to 100 grams, sometimes slightly stretched in height with on the location of the umbilicus a small rounded outgrowth.
Huge bouquets (+/- 20 fruits) composed of several clusters of +/- 6 to 8 fruits each.
Firm and juicy flesh, thick walled. Excellent sweet flavor. Fresh consumption or cooking / canning.
Vigorous plants with big development of up to 2.5 m - 8ft, regular foliage, indeterminate.
Generous production from mid-season until frost, very good fruit conservation after picking.
NB: The variety is stabilized and named "hybrid" but is in no way an allusion to an F1 but as a result of a cross, in this case "De Barao" with "Limon Liana", the breeder gave automatically the hybrid name.
There is a variant of this variety, Hybrid 2 Tarasenko Typ 1, producing slightly smaller, sharper fruits in a larger quantity on a larger plant. Also available on Vertiloom.
