Large elongated shiny brown peppers, up to 30 cm long.
Ripen from dark green to dark brown (pasilla, diminutive of 'pasa' = raisin) color.
Sweet with a slightly fruity and smoky aroma, mild piquancy, 1000 - 2000 SHU
Used fresh in salsas or mole, but also often dried and / or smoked for processing into powder.
Open structure shrubs of about 1m height.
Good yields from mid-season.
