A mistake can happen. This variety was traded under the name Solar Flare (2012-2013) but actually deviated from this. This was discovered by Remy Rotella in 2014, owner of The Sample Seed Shop, USA.

Solar Flare has a red skin with yellow stripes and red flesh. Plan 9 from Outer Space has yellow and red striped skin with yellow flesh. This deviation was named after perhaps the most wrong cult movie ever made, Plan 9 from Outer Space.

Since then there have been numerous speculations as to what variety this could be, but nothing comes close.

Fruits from 200 to 350 grams with a variable shape, usually round with slightly ribbed shoulders, sometimes perfectly heart shaped or deformed with the larger calibers.

Beautiful yellow-orange skin striped with red / pink, first discreet but intenser later in the season.

Juicy yellow-orange flesh with a red center. Excellent taste, a worthy bicolor.

Plants with narrow development but narrow build, regular leafed, indeterminate.

Good long and regular production until first frost.

Can be slightly unstable in shape.
