Heirloom from West Virginia, USA. Already known from before 1948. Introduced and named in 1983 by SESE in honor of 'Tappy' who selected these seeds for shape, small seed cavities with few seeds and flavor.
Dark pink flattened beefsteak type tomatoes with ribs on the swollen shoulders. Average fruit weight from 250 to 500 + grams.
Sweet flesh with an excellent taste. Suitable for all-round use. Has already won several flavor competitions.
Indeterminate growing plants with regular foliage.
