I bought this plant last year at Tomatomania. People were raving about it like it was the star of the year, mostly due to its unique color, but it didn't do much for me and the flavor was kind of bland. Then it died very early, after a couple of months. I wouldn't try it again. There are far too many other fantastic tomatoes.

Een extreem zeldzame variëteit.
In 1893 geïntroduceerd door James Thorburn in hun catalogus, New York, USA.
(Het bedrijf "Thorburn" ging in 1921 bankroet tijdens de bankencrisis en toen verdwenen hun soorten bijna allemaal)
Ronde vruchten met dikke honing-bruine gekleurde huid met groene schouders.
Groen/oranje/roze vruchtvlees met groene gel. Een terra cotta kleurenmix dus.
Zachte goed gebalanceerde smaak.
Doorgroeiende planten met stevige oogsten in het midden-seizoen.
Variabele plantgrootte van 1,5 tot 2m. Zware trossen vruchten.
