Information

Recent variety developed by Fred Hempel, California, USA.

Cross of "Striped Roman" and "Black Cherry". Named after the pink jersey of the Giro (Tour of Italy)

Small oval-ovoid pink orange/yellow striped roma type cherry tomatoes ending in a point. Average fruit weight of 25 with some exceptions of 60 grams.

High density of trusses with a typical herringbone structure.

Very juicy flesh for an oval type. Very good fruity taste, more sour than sweet.

Semi determinate growing plants with dense regular foliage. The best growing choice is not to pinch thieves but to grow in a bush. Good support (cage) for the plant is necessary to be able to bear the high number of trusses.

Average plant height is 90 to 120 cm - 3 to 4 ft. Extremely suitable for growing in pots or compact greenhouses with limited space.

Very high yields starting just before mid-season.
