Neither dark, not a cherry, but a really good producer of smaller, pink plums. There are better flavoured toms to put in your sandwich, but this variety really earned its place as a sauce tomato or in a breakfast fry-up. The last fruits ripened well off the plant. I'm writing this just before Christmas and I've just cooked the final fruits. Recommended.
Old family heirloom from Stephenville, Texas, USA. Porter & Son Seed Company 1912 - 1994.
Small plum-shaped-oval fruits with a bright pink color. Larger than the commonly known cherry tomato size.
Good taste, an abundance of sweet and sour. Perfect snack tomato but also extremely suitable for making sauces.
Indeterminate growing plants with robust structure.
High yields from mid-season.
