Heirloom from Korea. The authentic pepper for cooking Kimchi and other Korean dishes.
Elongated peppers of about 7.5 to 10 cm - 3 to 4 inches.
Ripening from green (Put-Gochu - 풋고추) to red (Hong-Gochu - 홍고추 ). Used in cooking in both colors, fresh and dried.
When ripe, they are spicy (4000 - 8000 SHU), instant heat without build-up. Green they are milder, 1500 SHU.
Shrub-shaped plants of about 60 cm - 2ft with high yields.
